Edit To Expand: Learn How To Simplify Your Business In Order To Grow

Editing your business in order to grow as a mompreneur

We do a lot of busy work that is unnecessary while growing a business - work that doesn’t move the needle forward. It's easy to get caught up in the frenzy of doing it all. From managing social media, to writing weekly newsletters, to attending networking events, the to-do list can seem endless.

But what if I told you that by simplifying your approach, you could actually achieve more with less effort?

Find Clarity Through Eliminating Excess

Entrepreneurship is a journey, and like any journey, it requires a clear destination. Yet, when we're bogged down with unnecessary tasks and distractions, it's easy to lose sight of our goals. That's why the first step towards success is to eliminate excess.

Edit to Expand

  • Get CLEAR on Your Mission and Messaging: Start by asking yourself why your business exists and the problems it solves. Whether you're drafting to-dos, writing social media copy, or considering new opportunities, always align them with your brand's purpose.

  • Stay CONSISTENT to Your Mission: Don't chase all the glossy ideas that pop into your head. Sometimes you need to kill a darling ideal, to focus on core pillars and goals - making you money.

  • Honor COMMUNITY: when you're clear on whom you serve, you know where to show up and how often to show up for them (ie you don't need to be on social all the time - it's sucking your precious time).

Quality over quantity is key, especially when it comes to social media engagement.

  • BATCH Like Tasks: Organize your workflow by dedicating specific time slots to similar tasks. Create slots that are devoted to the "supporting actors" of your biz. For me, that's newsletter writing, blog posting, IG sharing, and appearing on TV/podcasts.

  • Find Your DIAMOND: Identify the products or services that generate the most revenue for your business and give them the attention they deserve. Is there one service or product that is making you the most money? That one needs the most attention. Promo it. Share it. Highlight it. Push it to press. Make it in different colors/offerings.

  • Leave the Weeds and OUTSOURCE: Keep a pocket notebook on hand, jot down all the small tasks that you don't need to do. Create a job description based on what you need.

Hiring is hard, but it will give you time to focus on money moves, and Diversify Your Joy!

Embracing Clarity for Epic Confidence

When we remove excess, we regain clarity.

Simplifying your business is about freeing yourself from distractions and noise, and moving with purpose. By eliminating unnecessary tasks and distractions, you open yourself up to greater clarity on what moves will align the most with your values and essentially will make you more money.

Action Step: Take a moment to reflect on your current workload and identify one task or project that isn't aligning with your mission or moving the needle forward. Letting go of this excess will pave the way for greater focus and success in your business.
